3 Ways to Give Back to Boston in 2021

Boston in 2021

The Christmas season may be over, but it’s always the season for giving. Share some joy with those in need and make an effort to give back to Boston in 2021. These organizations are eager to hear from you.

Donate to Cradles to Crayons

Through March, Cradles to Crayons and NBC’s “Bundle Up New England” are collecting new or gently used coats. These coats will be given to children in need to help keep them warm this winter. If you don’t have any coats to spare, a monetary donation of $33 can help one child in need. There’s still time to give and there’s a long winter ahead. Give back to Boston in 2021 by supporting the children that need it most.

Contribute to Rosie’s Place

Rosie’s place was the first established woman’s shelter in the U.S., and they uphold their mission today. This shelter is a safe haven for women in danger and offers a place for women in need to sleep during the cold nights. Their services are actively helping protect the women of Boston. You can donate money, supplies or even time to contribute.

Donate to a Community Fridge

Have you seen the “take what you need, leave what you can” pantries around Boston? There are several community-run fridges throughout the city that survive solely on the basis of community donations. Walk around Boston making sure the fridges are full. You could be the reason someone gets to eat this week.

You can find even more Boston charities to give to here. There are so many place and people who need you. How can you give back to your community this year? What can you do to help Boston in 2021?
